Deck the Halls with tinsel, colorful lights, and holiday cheer! Here are the festive events taking place in The Colony this December.
Parade of Lights
Kick off the holiday season with The Colony at the 41st annual Parade of Lights on December 3. The parade route begins at Peters Colony Elementary parking lot and proceeds west on Nash Drive to Blair Oaks Drive, then south to The Colony Five Star Complex. Experience the warmth of the holidays as kids line the street awaiting treats, decorated floats, and displays of the holiday season. If you would like your business or organization to participate in the Parade of Lights, submit the entry form on The Colony’s website.
Holiday in the Park
Following the Parade of Lights, spend some time at the Holiday in the Park event at Perryman Park from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on December 3. Get into the spirit by taking in the lights, music, and other festivities including carnival games, rides, and a baking contest. Bring the whole family and make lasting memories in the City by The Lake!
The Colony Christmas Spectacular
Enjoy a dazzling light show set to your favorite holiday hits. Take in The Colony Christmas Spectacular from the comfort of your car as you tune your radio dial to 99.9 FM and gaze upon The Colony Central Fire Station. The Spectacular starts December 3 and continues all holiday season through January 1. Show times are between 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM Sunday to Thursday, and 5:30 PM – 10:50 PM Friday and Saturday.
Sugar plum Fairy Tea Party at Grandscape
Join us in the Land of the Sweets for the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party hosted by Grandscape! Guests will watch performances of The Nutcracker by the Texas Ballet Theatre School and enjoy a tea party during the show. Tickets include a cup of hot chocolate or tea as well as fun holiday crafts, cookie decorating, and more! Grab your tutus and tiaras on December 3, and join the Tea Party from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Grandscape Stage and Lawn. Get your tickets here.
Pancakes with Santa!
Get your tickets now to enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes and meet Jolly Ole’ Saint Nick at Lava Cantina on December 3! Kids 12 and under get all-they-can-eat pancakes complete with holiday-themed toppings and a picture with Santa Claus himself. Parents are also invited to enjoy the all-you-can-eat pancakes and a hot chocolate bar! The event starts at 9:00 AM and concludes with a showing of The Grinch at 10:00 AM.
Holiday Happenings at Grandscape
Bring the whole family to Grandscape for a full slate of Holiday happenings throughout December. Wednesday nights from November 30 – December 21, bring your blankets and lawn chairs and delight in Holiday Movie Nights at The Grandscape Stage and Lawn. Tuesday and Thursday evenings will be filled with Homestead for the Holidays, a selection of events from Santa Paws, Charcuterie Workshops, and Paint and Sip! Finally, from December 19 – December 23, come out for Holly Jolly Days with Meet and Greets with Santa, an Afternoon Adventure with Buddy the Elf, and a Polar Express PJ Party!

Mondays
- Grab a slice and win the prize at Heritage Pizza’s Trivia Night. Select draft beers start at $4 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Tuesdays
- Enjoy a Date Night Special at Seven Doors Kitchen & Cocktails with a three-course dinner for two for $39.95.
Wednesdays
- Get a glass or bottle of your favorite wine at Seven Doors Kitchen & Cocktails on Wine Down Wednesdays, where all wine is 50% off.
- For those who know it all, swing by the Drunken Donkey for Team Trivia from 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM.
Thursdays
- Rack ‘em and break ‘em all you want with free pool at Shakertins from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Saturdays & Sundays
- Stop by Nebraska Furniture Mart on select Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM for the Santa Photo Experience to get your picture with the Big Man in Red himself!
