Calling all pitmasters and BBQ enthusiasts, The General Show Down BBQ Cook-Off has arrived. Join The Colony Firefighters Association as they host family-friendly festivities with a cooking competition and events over two days. Come for the cookout, cornhole tournament, firefighter games, music and more! Fans of football, head over to Lakeview by Peppersmash for a viewing of the Red River Showdown. Celebrate this revered rivalry with a signature craft menu, Instagramable drinks, and a lakeside view that can’t be beat. For man’s best friend, celebrate during Barktoberfest at The Shacks at Austin Ranch. Show off your pup’s creative doggy costumes at this Howl-oween social along with raffles, prizes and delicious food and drink from the restaurants on the open-air patio.

Those wanting more exercise before the holidays can come together for The Colony Half Marathon and Green Dragon 5 Miler. Join the community in raising cancer awareness and supporting a great cause. The course runs along The Shoreline Trail’s gently undulating, crushed granite surface with scenic lake views, perfect for admiring nature’s beauty.

Happy Halloween Happenings

Look no further than Lava Cantina for a frightfully fantastic time with Halloween Movies for the whole family. Enjoy brunch every Saturday and sit down to free films like “Hocus Pocus” or “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. For more family fun, camp lakeside under the stars during Family Fright Night.
