Texas is known for its love of football. The Athletic Club features two football fields with high-quality turf for safe and even footing. The two fields measure 400 feet by 250 feet. Both are utilized as multipurpose fields when not booked for football games. Soccer matches and other sports tournaments, such as grass volleyball and ultimate Frisbee, can be hosted here.

The Athletic Club houses six soccer fields, excluding the multipurpose football fields. Real grass, maintained by an advanced derivation system, ensures quality turf for maximum game potential. Two fields measure 240 feet by 165 feet and four fields measure 400 feet by 250 feet.

The Colony is home to multipleย nature trails, perfect for runners, cyclists, hikers and nature lovers. The Five Starย Hike & Bike Trailย creates a one-mile paved loop through the 75-foot beautifully landscaped buffer zone surrounding the facility. The trail also features fitness videos, accessible through a mobile device. Signs along the trail display QR codes for core, lower and upper body workouts, as well as flexibility exercises.

Veterans Memorial

The Colony is proud to honor military servicemen and women. Theย Veterans Memorial, located within the complex, features bricks recognizing veterans of the past, present and future. Each brick displays a service memberโ€™s name, rank, branch of the military and years of service.

The city continues to honor veterans and active military through events such as American Heroes. Every Veterans Day, visitors and locals come together to salute servicemen and women. In addition to the carnival rides, concert series and Texas-sized drone display, multiple ceremonies recognize those who have fought for freedom. Honor a veteran or active military member during the Heroes Ceremony and remember the unselfish contributions by the servicemen and women at the Memorial Ceremony, or get the kids involved at the Heroes Hut.
